Hungry Kids
The kids were really hungry after my son's party - they ate two whole bowls of tortilla chips! In fact they ate almost everything. The only things they left were the "healthy" options, the salad, the carrot sticks and the fruit. As we'd had a birthday cake a few days before on his actual birthday we made a pyramid of lots of little iced cupcakes for the party (homemade cakes with bought Betty Crocker frosting - we used a little food colouring in the vanilla to make a variety of different colours). My main tip is don't get stressed out by the food for children's parties. Buy lots of ready made party food and then you can spend a little more time on one or two special dishes like the cake.
